Surfboards old and new

Surfboards

For the second time around we took some of our surf boards to the local island Maamendhoo to teach the local children surfing and generally go out to have some fun in the water. As we were not sure how many would turn up and if we would have enough we asked them to bring their own boards along if they had any. Ours are the shiny fancy new Liquid Shredder boards but have a closer look at the 2 boards on the right side of the photo. You wouldn’t think they float, they are taped glued and kept alive for as long as possible. It just shows that boards don’t have to be shiny and new to have some fun in the water!
